Easter HollidaEaster Holiday, It is great that the BL has finally done something about the overcrowding during the holiday periods. The fact that they opened up the quiet space for students is great. However, and for future reference, it might be interesting to actually advertise these facilities for students a bit better (instead of some random sings in the lobby downstairs). For example, a small board at the gates of the Asian and African Studies reading room could say the following: "To all MA and BA students, please do not use this reading room unless you really, really, really have to. Please read your economics and chemistry class books somewhere else." If effective, such small gestures would make many serious researchers very happy. After all, the situation in OIOC was not very different from last year during Easter.

I never thought I would say
I never thought I would say this but the BL's admissions policy needs tightening up. Humanities 2 where I usually work has been full by 11am. The BL reading rooms really shouldn't be used for school or under-grad revision purposes or essay writing by under-grads unless they need to use books (and not textbooks!)
